Sunday Morning – Disruptive Food Technologies

I love the term disruptive technology – to me it means that the technology will radically change the way that we live. I have not seen it applied to our food system before (well not in a good way anyway) until now.

In this TED talk two chefs Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche talk about how they have used the science of food, some magic pixie dust, miracle berries and a huge imagination to create food that has low environmental impact, reduced sugar content and fun. Wow!

It seems like a complicated process, one that vegans would say just don’t eat meat why do you need to have something that tastes like meat when it isn’t BUT wow it could just disrupt the whole food system.
